Boston, Mass - The US UK Summit On Race presents its twelfth interactive signature event with its October 4th Virtual Program titled "Economic Inequality and Race: Breaking The Cycle." The two-hour program will discuss the negative effect of income inequality and its impact in the Black community in the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries worldwide.
The virtual event will occur on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT on the Zoom platform. Nearly 150 attendees from multiple countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, are expected to participate. The event is free and open to the general public worldwide.
Two Keynote Speakers, each a distinguished leader in their field, are scheduled for the Summit. DEI Expert and Author DR. CARLTON BROWN, the CEO of Aspire Consultancy, will represent The United Kingdom. Change Management Leader and former Vice President of Walmart KEITH WYCHE, a respected figure in the field, will represent The United States.
Black History has been targeted by several conservative anti-DEI groups in their efforts to devalue its merit and, in some cases, pass legislation against it, similar to the moves to restrict and ban Critical Race Theory. OCTOBER is Black History Month in the United Kingdom.
The US-UK SUMMIT on RACE is an initiative launched by the Boston-based Multicultural Symposium Series (MSS) and its Founder, Global Diversity Professional Carole Copeland Thomas. The Summit explores the impact of RACE in the United States and the United Kingdom as both countries struggle with racism, strife, and discriminatory practices that are associated with oppression across the world.
Founded in 2021, following the first anniversary of George Floyd's murder, the US UK Summit On Race has held eleven virtual events attracting hundreds of attendees from ten+ countries worldwide. Several US-based corporations sponsor it and continue to identify corporate sponsors who value the advancement of global diversity, equity, and inclusion.
US UK Co-Founders and Organizers include William Wells, Jr. (Minneapolis, Minnesota), Garth Dallas (Liverpool, England), and Carole Copeland Thomas (Boston, Massachusetts.
Advance registration, which is free, is required to participate.
